Why should you choose our specialist nutritionist in Olney, Milton Keynes?
At TOP Physiotherapy, we are proud to support your health from the inside out, because we believe true wellness starts with both movement and nourishment. Our specialist Nutritionist, Charlotte, is experienced and compassionate and is known for her clarity, compassion, and clinical depth. Charlotte supports clients to let go of the exhausting pursuit of fragmented answers and instead uncover the real drivers behind their symptoms, with practical support that restores confidence, resilience, and lasting results.
What to expect from your consultations:
Aim:
To understand the full picture of your health, identify underlying drivers, review test results and medications, and provide a clear plan for next steps.
Your Initial Consultation
-
Your initial appointment usually lasts for 1-1.5 hours and will involve a detailed discussion of your (and your family) health history, diet and lifestyle with the aim of understanding symptoms, potential triggers, treatment goals, and review of any prior diagnostic testing and/or therapies (some of this health history may be taken from a questionnaire completed ahead of the appointment which Charlotte will review).
-
An individualised Nutritional Medicine report will then be developed including diet and lifestyle advice. Where needed, this will include therapeutic supplemental support. This will be sent shortly after your initial consultation.
Whats Included?
● Full health, diet and lifestyle assessment ( Including pre-appointment questionnaire)
● Systems-based review across gut, hormones, thyroid, metabolism and immune function
● Medication and supplement review
● Interpretation of recent blood tests
● Identification of key underlying patterns and priorities
● Initial guidance and early nutritional recommendations
● Recommendation of the most appropriate specialist programme where appropriate
● Written summary after the session with the agreed plan
What happens next?
-
To deliver a tailored treatment plan, valid biomedical testing may be suggested following your consultation. Example tests include comprehensive stool analysis, blood hematology, biochemistry and vitamin/mineral screens, food allergy, organic acids, pyroluria, methylation index, oxidative stress, neurotransmitters and hormone panels. Charlotte regularly works alongside GP’s, paediatricians and other medical and/or complimentary specialists to ensure that her patients achieve an integrated treatment pathway and optimum outcome.
-
Laboratory test kits will either be ordered directly to your home to be carried out (with instructions). If a blood test is required, for example, we will advise of available local phlebotomy services. (Please note these tests will be an additional charge)
-
A summary of dietary and/or supplement recommendations, and diagnostic tests required will be sent by email following your initial appointment.
-
Test results usually take 10 days- 3 weeks to be turned around. Your follow up appointment will therefore be 4-6weeks after your initial appointment, and will usually last 1 hr. A test interpretation report with recommendations will then be sent by email at the time of the follow up consultation.
Ongoing Review
Implementing and adjusting to your health plan can take time, and Charlotte is there to offer ongoing support and guidance. It is also critical that your Nutritional Medicine programme, including any dietary and supplement regime, is regularly reviewed.
Follow up consultations will be every 6 weeks to 3months and will range from 30-60 minutes, depending on complexity or time required. Your programme will then be revised following each consultation.
