TOP PHYSIOTHERAPY CHILDREN FAQs

WHAT IS TOP PHYSIOTHERAPY'S NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

We like to keep things simple and convenient for our clients so all you will need to do during your first appointment with us is spend just a couple of minutes to sign our new patient consent form. Then will then go through a detailed background of what your concerns are before having a look at supporting your child, before providing appropriate advise and treatment options.

I HAVE FORGOTTEN WHEN MY NEXT APPOINTMENT IS

We understand that you lead a hectic life and the last thing you want is something else to remember. That's why we have a text reminder service. You will receive a text 48 hours before your next appointment, just to give you one less thing to worry about.

However, if you want a bit more notice then just give us a call or text (07888205099 or 07846752352) and we can happily tell you over the phone.

WHAT IS TOP PHYSIOTHERAPY'S CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to re-arrange or cancel your appointment that is fine, we understand things change. So as long as you give us 48 hours notice ahead of your next appointment, no charge will be issued. If you give less than 24 hours notice you will be asked to cover the cost of the session.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

Put Simply - No.

Physiotherapists are autonomous practitioners so no referral from any other professional is needed.

On a rare occasion some insurance providers may ask for a GP referral but this is by no means the norm and your insurer should tell you if this is what they require.

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO WAIT FOR AN APPOINTMENT?

We do not have a waiting list so you should be able to get an appointment within a week or two. If you want an after school appointment you may have to wait a little longer but give us a call to see

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

Your child should wear clothes that are loose and comfortable. We generally need to see the area where symptoms are being experienced e.g. if your child has a knee or hip problem, then shorts are advisable. For a developmental check, babies may need to be undressed to their nappy.

HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS WILL MY CHILD NEED

Following your child’s assessment we will explain the treatment schedule we recommend. However you can chose to have more or less frequent sessions. It is not necessary to commit to a specific treatment frequency (e.g. weekly/fortnightly/monthly) as therapy needs and other commitments may vary. However if you want to arrange weekly sessions we can book in treatment blocks in advance to ensure you have the same day and time each week.
There is a slight discount on booking for blocks of 6 sessions.
