Foot & Ankle Pain

Probably one of the most important areas of the body to get sorted quickly if you experiencing any pain. This is because a slight compensation in your foot bio-mechanics can cause even more issues further up the leg.

Foot & Ankle pain can be caused by a variety of issues. Here are some conditions that we have a track record of getting better quickly:

  • Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis. It is a common condition, especially in people aged 40–60 years.  There is a lot of misinformation and ‘old wives’ tales around this so help us guide you through.

There is no one size fits all regarding foot and ankle injuries, some get better naturally in time, some need further input.  If in doubt, get in touch and we’d be happy to help shine some light on what would be optimal for you and your needs.

  • Lateral Ankle Sprains

Acute ankle sprain is the most common lower limb injury in athletes and accounts for 16%-40% of all sports-related injuries. Yet is the one people seek the LEAST help for, up to 40% of ankle sprains go on to develop chronic symptoms, including; pain, swelling, instability, and recurrence that persists at least 12 months post-injury.

Furthermore, approximately 20% of individuals who sustain an acute sprain develop chronic ankle instability.

We would ideally see you 2-3 days after the injury and get your working on the pain and load management and then create a tailored graded return to activity plan.  However,  if you have had a previous ankle injury that just hasn't resolved we are equally able to help you with a chronic issue that might be limiting you.

  • Achilles Tendonitis

  • Shin Splints

  • Calf Strains

  • Bunion (Post-Op)

  • Severs Disease (Children)

and so much more...
