Hi, I'm Lucy, a specialist Children's Physiotherapist, with over 14 years paediatric specific physiotherapy experience. I have specialist knowledge, interest and understanding around child growth, working with children from birth, with a wide range of conditions from developmental delay, neurological disorders to musculoskeletal conditions and developmental coordination disorder (DCD). I have completed Bobath modules in typical child development and normal movement to compliment my facilitation skills. I have training and experience using FES in my therapy and utilise the Saebo devices in therapy when appropriate. 

 

I am not only highly qualified but also compassionate and understanding, creating a comfortable environment for your child. I pride myself on my ability to make therapy fun and engaging for each and every child I see, whilst aiming to work with families to help achieve their specific rehab goals.

I am a member of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (APCP) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). 

 

I understand that children are not just little adults and therefore understand that they need to be treated differently to gain an effective treatment outcome. I believe physiotherapy should be engaging and fun as well as being effective.​

I have a passion for working with children and have a sound understanding of developmental milestones as well as the pre-requisites required to achieve a milestone successfully as well as understanding typical growth patterns and bone maturation to ensure appropriate training programs are recommended and devised.
